Will work for Beer

So this week/ weekend was actually very wonderful. My dad, who currently lives in Dallas, came to stay with me all last week! Can you believe that? I had not seen him for about a year so I was pretty excited! I was a little worried that my dad and Chris would not have much time to hang out and get to know one another because Chris had to go out of two for four days last week. For the most part it all worked out perfect because it gave me and my dad a chance to hang out just the two of us. We went to a Billiard competition in Norman, OK all day on Thursday. He is a billiard instructor and LOVES to watch a game of pool played by anyone probably. It was a women's competition so I am sure that was better for him ; ). We had good food and I got to take a few pictures.

Saturday night we went to Tulsa's "Wild Brew" event. It's all for the birds baby! Wild Brew is a huge beer tasting for anyone (21 and over) to pay $50 a ticket and drink and eat themselves silly. Chris is on the committee so of course he got in for free but he also managed to get one of our friends, my dad and myself in to volunteer and get in free as well! YAY FREE BEER AND FOOD! We had a blast. We ended up working the Quick Trip table and serving their fabulous sandwiches! The funny thing was we don't work for them whatsoever and my dad was really trying to "sell" the items. He was getting so into it I just kept laughing at it. I guess I should have tried harder as well because I was in there for free but he was doing enough work to cover five people. We ate until we were stuffed, the guys drank until they were acting weird and Chris even danced with me. Hard to believe he danced but he is actually not too bad. He does a mean "truck driver", ask him to show you one day.

After the event was over I brought my dad home and Chris and I went to an after party. It was lame to say the least but we didn't want to waste the rest of the night so we went to the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It was a blast! In all Chris lost $40 and I won $12.77! I bought lunch for us all to make up for his loss the next day ; ).

Sunday we brought my dad to the airport. I tried my hardest to get him to go to Mass with us but he refused saying the church would probably crumble to the ground if he stepped in. Glad it didn't but I hardly think it would have, Dad! We rode our bikes, went home and took a long nap, woke up and took Maggie for a walk. All in all I think we had a great weekend!
